Location scouting

Location Scouting   Location scouting is locating somewhere to shoot shots for a film or show. Location scouting is making sure the area is suitable for filming in this includes checking if the weather is suitable, making sure the lighting is good and ensuring the area is save to shoot in. You will also have to make sure you are allowed to shoot there as well as making sure to get permission if you need to get permission.

Toy Melee weapon

Toy melee weapon I had a few ideas for my toy melee weapon. My original idea was to make a bo staff but later decided that a sword would look better. After experimenting in photoshop I started to model my toy weapon in blender. I changed my design a few times because I was trying to find the design that looked best. My final design was a sword, I made the blade from a cube and also added a guard for the handle what I did not plan in my original design. I also rook inspiration from images I looked at.

Premiere editing

Premiere  Premiere basics The first things I learned in premiere were importing footage, trimming the video, cutting parts of the video and editing videos together. I also learned to add text by inserting it into the video. Effects Effects are used to add to the theme or the mood of the video. Effects at a visual effect to the video such as making it black and white or making the image brighter. Effects can also be used as transitions between footage, I used transitions going from shot to shot to make the video flow better as well as feel more natural.

textures and lighting

Textures and lighting   Diffuse Diffuse is a raw colour channel, it is the most common texture used, when texturing. Gloss Gloss is used to show the roughness of a surface and how reflective it is. Lighter colours are used for a smoother surface while darker colours are used for rougher surfaces. Albedo/base colour Albedo/base colour map is used to highlight just the base colour of the map.

Art -1

Blending Blending in art helps the image look more natural and helps merge different colours together. Blending is when you use the brush tool to blend two colours from different parts of drawing.

Door write-up

Door Write-up My original idea for my door was to make a futuristic. Sci-fi door but later on, I then decided to go with an old, wooden and stone door instead. I looked at images of medieval doors for inspiration for my door and when planning my design. My original art work for the door was an arch shaped door but I changed that to a rectangular door because I thought it would look better for my type of door. Creating my door on blender helped me to learn certain skills such as unwrapping and texturing. For the texture of my door I experimented with different textures to see what looked best for my door. When using blender to create my door I made my door and the door frame using cubes that I extruded into the shape that I needed them. While creating the door I decided to add some additional features to make the door less bland. I added a step to my door so it would be more detailed and look less simple. I also added more to the door frame as well as a rectangular arch way.
