Door Write-up

My original idea for my door was to make a futuristic. Sci-fi door but later on, I then decided to go with an old, wooden and stone door instead. I looked at images of medieval doors for inspiration for my door and when planning my design. My original art work for the door was an arch shaped door but I changed that to a rectangular door because I thought it would look better for my type of door.

Creating my door on blender helped me to learn certain skills such as unwrapping and texturing. For the texture of my door I experimented with different textures to see what looked best for my door. When using blender to create my door I made my door and the door frame using cubes that I extruded into the shape that I needed them.

While creating the door I decided to add some additional features to make the door less bland. I added a step to my door so it would be more detailed and look less simple. I also added more to the door frame as well as a rectangular arch way.
