 Diffuse

Diffuse is a raw colour channel, it is the most common texture used, when texturing.

Gloss

Gloss is used to show the roughness of a surface and how reflective it is. Lighter colours are used for a smoother surface while darker colours are used for rougher surfaces.

Albedo/base colour

Albedo/base colour map is used to highlight just the base colour of the map.
