Composition
Composition is about the placements of different things in a piece and how they’re used to guide how the viewer’s eyes move throughout it. Two types of composition are centre and off-centre. Centre subject creates symmetry which can be calming to the viewer, while Off-centre subject creates asymmetry, but allows the viewers eyes to move around the piece. Different techniques are often used to bring attention to the subject while also making the viewer look around the whole piece. Symmetry is a technique which is often used in composition as it is naturally pleasing for the human eye to look at.
